Besides Snoop Dogg last year, Raekwon has had the longest career of any MC to make the Hottest list. Translation: A tenured vet is still just as relevant as new cats coming into the game.
“I look at it as a blessing, man,” Rae said. “I’m just saying, [the Roundtable] is giving the veteran more medals. I paid my dues in the game. I think I was taught by the best. I was one of them dudes that take rap crazy serious — how you look, how your sneakers look. So for me, I just feel like people is placing the medals on a n—a that made it home. I made it home. Rap was supposed to be over for n—as a long time ago. They say rap, your career only goes on for five years if you ain’t really just that n—a. If you that n—a, it’s an endless career you could make. I felt like I knew I wasn’t over. I feel like respect is due. If it wasn’t me, if it was the next n—a that had a similar, same kind of track record, that’s still busting his hammer writing and going in still. I pay attention to every n—a. I still feel privileged that n—as still see what the god can do. All praises for that.”
Snoop (and Director Vlad Yudin) speaks on the memory of Big Pun and how it’s been untarnished (for the most part) as artists for the most part choose to do fake joints with Pac & Biggie instead, etc. Big Pun: The Legacy in stores now. Shouts to 2DB.

This afternoon while in his Manhattan offices, employees say that 50 Cent was listening to Fat Joe's new album, "J.O.S.E. 2" when all the sudden, he collapsed! An ambulance was called, and by the time they arrived, 50 Cent regained consciousness and was complaining of blurred vision and a severe migraine. 50 Cent was rushed to Mt. Sinai hospital at 4:26 pm.
Doctors say after performing a Cat Scan and EKG there seems to be some damage to his auditory cortex, which is the region of the brain that is responsible for processing sound.

Before the tragic death of AM, he was set to star in a reality show based on addiction and the road to recovery. As an ex addict AM had been sober for 11 years and aside from DJ'ing he loved to help people get through their drug addictions as he was once helped. So he teamed up with MTV and they created a show in which AM researched different people and their specific addiction and he helped them get sober. Earlier this year AM was tweeting his experiences with these people as well as adding how difficult it was to get through to the road of recovery. "Gone To Far" was set to air on MTV later this year but since his death it is not specified when the show will air.
RIP DJ AM.
THIS PAST SATURDAY WAS THE KING OF POP MR. MICHAEL JACKSON'S BIRTHDAY. HE WOULD'VE BEEN 51 YEARS OLD.
REST IN PEACE!
