Beanie Sigel Apologizes To Jay-Z

After more than a year-and-a-half of dissing Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel has something important to say: Sorry.

“What Mike Epps say? ‘Gangstas fuck up too,’” Sigel exclusively told XXLMag.com over the phone, while in his native Philadelphia today (May 31). “Whatever I felt this dude Jay did wrong to me, it can’t outweigh the one thing he did do for me – he gave me an opportunity. Dude gave me an opportunity. A lot of people don’t get opportunities. He gave me that. That outweighs everything. I need that in black and white. I got caught in the moment and put my feelings out there. I should have never done that.”

The Philly rhyme spitter dissed Hov and Memphis Bleek, his former friends and Roc-A-Fella cohorts, on the scathing “What You Talkin About (I Ain’t Your Average Cat)” back in 2009 and proceeded to insult the two during nearly every show appearance and interview thereafter.

Sigel, born Dwight Grant, even told XXL that he had an album’s worth of recorded material bashing the Roc, but decided to hold back.

“I was explaining the whole Roc-A-Fella shit and a lot of feelings were going to get hurt,” B. Sig said. “I was airing shit out. Just the homies could listen to that when they come into the studio. I couldn’t put that out. It wouldn’t sit right with me.”

Sigel added that he’s currently working on a mixtape and album with DJ Green Lantern.— Mark Lelinwalla

Anyways, I’m not a big fan of Lebron’s sneakers. Seriously, they feel like you’re walking on pillows. Anyways, the homie G-Roc of TheShoeGame sent over this video of Lebron’s new animated series, and this particular episode guest-stars Drake.

Drake Denies Jay-Z Diss Via Twitter

In the ultra-competitive world of rap, where MCs throw shots both directly and indirectly, even the most subliminal mentions draw attention from the media and fans alike. Drake has delivered two such lines in the past two weeks where many felt that he was sending shots at Jay-Z.

On Friday (May 20), Drizzy took to Twitter to shut the rumors down. “Hov diss? Hov of all people has not lost it...that’s god body flow.”

The tweet was in reference to a line on Drake’s newly leaked “Dreams Money Can Buy.” On the track which is said to be off of Young Angel’s upcoming sophomore album Take Care, Drake spits, “And I feel like lately I went from top five to remaining five/My favorite rappers either lost it or they ain’t alive.”

A week earlier Drake appeared alongside Lil Wayne and Rick Ross on DJ Khaled’s “I’m On One” and dropped the line: “Hate the rumors, hate the bulls--t, hate these f--kin’ allegations/I’m just feelin’ like the throne is for the takin’; watch me take it.”

On May 13, RapFix asked fans if they felt Drake took a swipe at Hov and Kanye who are readying the release of their new album Watch the Throne. 53% of fans answered “No” while 37% of readers thought “Yes.” 10.5% of fans were unsure.

Seems like the majority of fans were right, as Drake’s tweet shows that a Hov diss is out of the question.

Still, you can’t front, from a purely competitive aspect, it would have be interesting. Not that we’re trying to stir the pot.

Beyonce – 4 (Cover + Release Date) & Video for "Run The World"

Columbia Records will release “4,” the fourth solo studio album from Beyoncé on Tuesday, June, 28, 2011.

The album was recorded over a year between the spring of 2009 and the spring of 2010, while Beyoncé took time away from the spotlight. She engaged in what she describes as simple things, including listening to every kind of music she truly enjoys. Her mixed musical gumbo will be displayed on the upcoming album.

The title signifies not only the artist’s fourth solo offering and the day of her birth but it is also a personal gift to her fans. For over one year now her fans around the world took to their social media pages urging her to name the album for her special number.

The intensely anticipated video for the album’s lead single, “Run The World (Girls)” made its premiere on American Idol tonight.

[Video] J.Cole Explains His Album Delay, His Upcoming Single & Hints On What To Expect

Ms. Drama caught up with J. Cole at the BET Awards press conference and asked him about the continuing delay of his album. Cole explains that the delay had to do with his “unsureness” and not wanting to give album release dates when he wasn’t certain. Cole explains that the delay had nothing to do with not having material for his album, as it is already completed — but rather he couldn’t agree on a single to release. He hints that that the single features a sample from his favorite artist. The wait will officially be over next week he says.

Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond Wanted by FEDs

Jimmy Henchma is under investigation and wanted by the feds for alleged distribution of cocaine. Henchman, other than being a well known manager for such top billing artists as Game, Brandy, Sean Kingston and Akon, is perhaps very well known for his alleged involvement in the 1994 shooting of late rapper Tupac Shakur in the lobby of Quad recording studio. Henchman has also been plastered on the front page for his "beef" with G-Unit, which started when Tony Yayo and an unknown accomplice assaulted Henchman's son outside of Czar Entertainment, a business that Henchman co-owns with business partner Bryce Wilson.

Jimmy has also recently helped rapper Wyclef Jean run for office in his native Haiti and is also said to support current Haitian president Michel Martelly. According to the New York Post, a warrant for Henchman's arrest was issued last week and Jimmy has yet to respond or turn himself in. According to Rosemonds lawyer the warrant was issued but no copy was provided.

Will he turn himself in before the situation gets worse?

'RapFix Live' Gets Into The 'Fast Lane' With Bad Meets Evil- Eminem's Advice For Musicians-Turned-Actors

Cali Swag District Respond To M-Bone's Death 'We're just gonna leave it up to the law right now because there's really nothing we can do,' C-Smoove sa

With the hip-hop community mourning the death of Mante "M-Bone" Talbert, TMZ caught up with his Cali Swag bandmates C-Smoove and JayAre and got their reaction to the 22-year old dancer's demise.

The first order of business for C-Smoove was to clear up any misconceptions surrounding the events of Sunday, May 15. TMZ has previously reported that M-Bone's death may have come at the hands of a "jealous man" who was envious of the group's success.

"I wanna clear up: It had nothing to do with gang violence, it wasn't nothing like that. It was just a 'wrong place at the wrong time' situation. We just gotta stay strong for the homey," C-Smoove says in the video posted on gossip site. "We don't know who's responsible for it or what the case may be. It's just bad, man. We're just gonna leave it up to the law right now because there's really nothing we can do."

It's unclear whether any members of CSD actually witnessed the murder, but C-Smoove goes on to describe the drive-by shooting which ultimately claimed M-Bone's life. "He went to the store to get something to drink and, randomly, somebody pulls up, don't say no words, don't shoot a lot of shots, just did what they had to do and got on. It had to be something, but we really can't tell exactly what it was."

In the next portion of the clip, Smoove breaks down in tears. After the unseen interviewer asks the two rappers what they would say to M-Bone's family, Smoove begins to cry. "We are his family," he says, his voice cracking.

JayAre goes on to detail the group's special bond with M-Bone. "We was the closest thing Mante had [to family]. He was always on his own and when we started Cali Swag, we tried to do a family," he explained. "He was a brother to me. He meant a lot. I don't even feel the same without him."

The Inglewood Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and call its homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous hotline number, (888) 41 CRIME, or (888) 412-7463.

Jermaine Dupri Recalls M-Bone's Impact On Cali Swag District

The Hip-Hop community is completely shocked and saddened at the senseless killing of Cali Swag District member M-Bone, who was gunned down last night in his Inglewood, CA neighborhood. M-Bone was shot two times in the head by an assailant while sitting in his vehicle. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Over the course of the day fans around the globe shared their sentiments about the dancer who brought his unique style to the group, propelling them as one of rap's most promising collectives with their playful, feel-good tunes courtesy of their hit song "Teach Me How To Dougie." From Los Angeles, to Dallas, to New York, Cali Swag had everyone doing the "Dougie."

A fellow rap peer who had the pleasure of working with M-Bone on the group's remix for "Dougie," Jermaine Dupri, reflected on the fallen star's position within the group.

“I believe that he was the one that they all looked to to learn how to do the Dougie" said the platinum producer. "Everyone was about it, but he was the one who went hard with it.”

According to Dupri, M-Bone was one of the members from Cali Swag who brought the Dougie back to the group and the West Coast region.

“That’s my most significant memory about him…he was one of the main dudes who brought the dance back to them. The dance originated in Dallas and was brought to Cali. The members of the group are not from where the dance is from. He was the one who was really killing the Dougie."

JD noted that although M-Bone didn't lend his vocals on records, the dancer was considered an integral part of the Cali Swag movement.

"He was instrumental at showing people the dances. He was the main inspiration behind the creative dances that ultimately defined the group. He was the fourth member, who didn’t rap, but played his position by taking the lead on creating unique dances."

The Inglewood Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and call its homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous hotline number, (888) 41 CRIME, or (888) 412-7463.

Beyonce To Premiere 'Run The World (Girls)' On 'American Idol' MTV News confirms the video will premiere on the show on Wednesday.

After delaying the premiere of her "Run the World (Girls)" video, MTV News has confirmed that Beyoncé will finally drop the video on Wednesday during "American Idol."

A label rep confirms that the video will hit the Web and other networks shortly after the West Coast broadcast of the show. "Run the World (Girls)" was originally slated to debut online last Friday, but a rep for Vevo.com confirmed to MTV News at the time that Beyoncé and her team were still putting the finishing touches on the Francis Lawrence-directed video.

A teaser for the video gave fans a taste of what they could expect from the full-length clip. In it, Beyoncé, dressed in high-fashion couture, and her super-cool-looking supermodel pals fend off an opposing army in a post-apocalyptic world.

"It'll be big, it'll probably be one of the bigger Beyoncé music videos ever done," Lawrence told MTV News recently. "And I can say that I think the song is unbelievable." He added, "I think the video's gonna be really fun and cool and different for her."

The song is the lead single off Beyoncé's forthcoming album 4. "It's definitely riskier than something a bit more ... simple," the singer told Billboard.com. "I just heard the track and loved that it was so different. It felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don't go together — to create a new sound.

"I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal," she continued. "That's how I've gotten to where I am."

Rick Ross Says He Was Inspired By Bad Boy & Cash Money For Maybach Music Group & Video: Meek Millz feat. Rick Ross “I’m a Boss” (Off Self Made)

Ricky Rozay’s new squad of rhymers sat down with Erika/Billboard Mag for a little pow wow on their movement. Each member gets a turn on the mic and explains why they’re fully confident in Rozay executing their musical visions. Ross also cites the great rap empires of the late 90’s and early 2000’s as sources of inspiration for him to move forward with his own dynasty.

“Building Maybach Music Group, building this empire, of course I was inspired by some of the earlier movements and earlier dudes that came along such as Cash Money [and] Bad Boy Records. To me, when I really think about the greatest era of hip-hop, that was the greatest eras of hip-hop; when I turned on the TV and saw Big, Mase, Junior Mafia, and the Lox. That was the most exciting era of hip-hop. I looked at the No Limit era and saw that camaraderie that they had, that unity, that brotherhood that they shared. I think it spilled over from [their] music,” Rick Ross says.

Jadakiss Tells Fans I Love You With New Retail Mixtape I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans) 'is all original music,' Jada tells Mixtape Daily. By Rob

Mixtape Daily Main Pick

Artist: Jadakiss

Mixtape: I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans)

Real Spit: You don't last over 14 years in the game without garnering some serious fans. For his next trick, Jadakiss offers up I Love You (A Dedication to My Fans) to show his appreciation.

"I wanted it to be different than The Champ is Here," Kiss said, referring to the mixtape trilogy that helped make him a fan favorite. "One aspect of the difference is all original music. It's not me destroying other people's beats, which you're used to hearing.

"It's just some original cuts, some joints for the ladies, some heartfelt joints for you to zone out to. It takes you on a journey. I call it a good summertime introduction CD."

Led by the single "Hold You Down," featuring Jada's new R&B artist Emanny, I Love You showcases a softer side of the Yonkers, New York, MC, with many of the cuts aimed at his female following. Things aren't all lovey-dovey however: The Neptunes-produced "Lil Bruh" is a cautionary track that warns young hustlers of the streets' pitfalls.

Styles P makes an appearance on "Lay Em Down," as he and Jada trade back-and-forth bars in true LOX fashion. NY newcomer Fred the Godson jumps on the celebratory "Toast to That."

I Love You, which is set for a Def Jam retail release on May 24, also features Rick Ross and Trae Tha Truth.

Joints to Check For

» "Hold You Down" - "It's featuring my new artist: R&B sensation Emanny. It's good radio-friendly, it's good for the clubs, it's good for the chicks. It's a good way for me to break him — introduce him to the world on a bigger level, bigger scale."

» "Lil Bruh" - "My man Icepick [Jay Jackson] was telling me about Pharrell had this song and he let us get the files and move it around, do a little remix and use some of the words for the hook. It came out to be pretty good."

Cali Swag District Rapper M-Bone Killed In Drive-By Shooting Bone, 22, died of two gunshot wounds to the head in his hometown of Inglewood, California

Early Monday (May 16) morning hip-hop fans were stunned by the news that Cali Swag District member M-Bone died Sunday night, the victim of a drive-by shooting.

Bone, born Mante Talbert, was one-fourth of the group that rose to fame with their 2010 single "Teach Me How to Dougie." Cali Swag frontman C-Smoove tweeted, "Ma life changed drastically in the blink of an eye. rip mbone," early Monday morning.

Inglewood Police Department Homicide Sgt. Brian Spencer confirmed to MTV News that the 22-year-old Bone died of two gunshot wounds to the head in his hometown of Inglewood, California.

At about 10:30 p.m. PT Sunday night, police were called to the 400 block of North La Brea in Inglewood. When police arrived on the scene, they found Talbert seated in the driver's seat of a black unspecified vehicle with at least two gunshot wounds to the head. Paramedics then took him to a local hospital where Talbert eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Witness accounts confirm that the rapper was seated in his car when the gunmen pulled alongside him in a separate vehicle and let off at least two rounds. The suspects fled northbound on La Brea.

Signed to Capitol Records, Cali Swag District made their name with the platinum dance hit "Teach Me How to Dougie," an ode to the dance popularized by hip-hop legend Doug E. Fresh. The record's remix featured Jermaine Dupri, B.o.B, Bow Wow and Red Cafe, and their debut album, The Kickback, is slated for a 2011 release.

The Inglewood Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and call its homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous hotline number, (888) 41 CRIME, or (888) 412-7463.

Prodigy Reveals How He And Nas Made Up '[Nas is] the man out there,' the Mobb Deep rapper tells MTV News about his frequent collaborator.

Nas and the recently reunited Mobb Deep have a longstanding relationship, but it hasn't always been all good. Since breaking out of New York's Queensbridge housing projects in the mid-1990s, Nas and Mobb Deep have sometimes collaborated and sometimes beefed through the years. In an exclusive interview with MTV News, Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy revealed that while he was imprisoned and writing his new autobiography, "My Infamous Life," he and Nas weren't seeing eye to eye. Though Pee didn't elaborate on their past problems, he did say that they have since patched up their differences.

"When I was writing this book, when I was locked up, Nas and myself we weren't on good terms," explained Prodigy. "That didn't make me write anything crazy about him, I just told the story how I seen it. If you read the book, you'll see that I gave Nas crazy love ... He's like my mentor if you read the book. I look up to him through the whole book, from beginning to end."

In "My Infamous Life," however, Prodigy does write about the differences between him and Nas' affiliates, as well as the run-ins that their respective crews have had together. Prodigy also recalls battling Nas as youngsters in Queensbridge. Through the years, the two acts have collaborated on songs like Mobb's "Eye for an Eye" and Nas' "Live N---a Rap." There have been a number of barbs thrown back and forth, as well, particularly on Nas' 2001 song "Destroy and Rebuild."

After coming home from his three-year prison bid this past March, Prodigy called Nas and extended an olive branch. "When we make songs together, man, it's another level, it's incredible music. It just gives you that feeling, like nostalgia almost," Prodigy said of Mobb Deep's past collaborations with the God's Son rapper. "The music is just real powerful when Mobb Deep and Nas work together. So I said, 'We gotta keep that feeling going, man. We would be fools to stop doing that because of whatever petty bullsh-- that was going on.' "

Nas agreed and together he and Mobb Deep recorded "Dog Sh--," a song that was leaked onto the Internet in April. According to Prodigy, fans can expect to hear more new music from the Queens MCs. "We put that aside and was like, 'All right, let's start doin' some music.' We had the 'Dog Sh--' and made a couple of other joints that's crazy."

With their differences seemingly behind them, Prodigy gives Nas the ultimate respect and paid homage to his legacy. "Nas is like King Queensbridge, he's the man out there."
