DMX Arrested For Speeding & Wreckless Driving

Law enforcement tells TMZ … the rapper was arrested again, after being pulled over last night in Arizona for driving 102 mph in a 65 zone. And for good measure, Mr. X was driving on a suspended license … so cops arrested him.

He was booked for speeding, reckless driving, and the suspended license — and has since been released on bond.
This is getting out of hand now. Earl needs to settle down and start getting his life together.

|Live Show| Rick Ross – I AM STILL MUSIC TOUR In Ottawa (Full Set)

Before Weezy came out on stage, Rozay was up next to bless the stage. In this footage, you’ll catch him perform hits like: Hustle Hard remix, 9 Piece, I’m on one, BMF, MC Hammer & I’m a boss. If you pay close attention, you can hear Lil’ Wayne doing adlibs in the background. Another thing, pardon me. I was a bit carried away during his set. He was the main reason why I went to the concert, no disrespect to Weezy. WYWCM

V Exclusive: Lil Wayne Elaborates On His Jay-Z Diss

Just a day after the leak of superstar Lil Wayne’s blog-igniting track “It’s Good,” a two-fisted cut that’s making noise for its perceived brazen diss at hip-hop legend Jay-Z and his omnipresent wife pop-R&B queen Beyonce, the skateboarding Gremlin doesn’t seem at all fazed. During an interview for an upcoming Oct./Nov. VIBE story, Wayne says he’s not worried about any fallout from the presumed lyrical barb at the Watch The Throne MC which features Drake and Jadakiss as Weezy snaps, “I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money.” (The sneering line comes off as a rebuttal to Hova’s Birdman-aimed “H.A.M.” slap “Really you got baby money…You ain't got my lady’s money.”)

“I know there won’t be any repercussions behind what I did,” says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for ‘It ‘s Good.’ “I know for a fact music is about perception. You can’t do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can’t ever be upset about someone’s reaction.”

Wayne added that while he understands the intrigue and buzz behind the record, it’s just another song. “I’m not going to say I don’t know what would happen before I even say [something on record],” he explains. “I do know what will happen. I’m aware of it. But it is what it is.”

Lil Wayne is currently headlining his I Am Still Music Tour. He is set to digitally drop his highly anticipated release Tha Carter IV on Sunday, August 28th. —Keith Murphy

Lil Wayne Disses Jay-Z On Carter IV, Jadakiss Wants No Part In The Beef

Today, Lil Wayne’s ‘Carter IV’ album hit the internet and one track on the album has been causing quite a stir. On the track “It’s Good” featuring Jadakiss and Drake (which wasnt posted for obvious reasons), Lil Wayne responds to Hov’s line on “H*A*M”:

Talkin’ bout baby money, I got ya baby money
Kidnap yo bitch, get that how much you love yo lady money
I know you fake nigga, press yo breaks nigga
Jadakiss quickly took to his twitter to give the following statement, keeping himself out of the beef.

On The 10th Anniversary Of Her Death Dame Dash Remembers Aaliyah

When Aaliyah died on August 25, 2001 in a plane crash in the Bahamas, she left behind grieving fans, family, and fiance Dame Dash.

On the eve of the 10th anniversary of her death Dame opened up to The Juice about his life with Aaliyah, and how devastating losing her was.

"She was intelligent and she caught me," Dash tells The Juice. "I'm the kind of guy who says things sometimes just to make myself laugh, but she would just catch me making jokes for me. I couldn't get anything past her. She had a very quick mind and a very kind heart."

At the time of her passing the 22-year old Aaliyah's acting and singing careers were skyrocketing. And Dame was still running Roc-A-Fella Records, so the couple spent a lot of time apart. But Dame says that when they were together everything was perfect.

"The energy we created together for people to observe was kind of crazy. We'd be in a room full of people talking to each other and it felt like everyone was listening but it would be just us. It would be like we were the only ones in the room," Dash says. "It was like something was going down in history every time I was with her. Every time I was around her I felt it was the place to be. Our time together meant so much that when we got more time, we felt like that [engagement] would be next. She was one of the best people I ever met. Even with the pain I felt, I would do it all over again."

J COLE & RIHANNA REPORTEDLY HAVE A SEXTAPE???!!!

MediaTakeOut.com just received an offer from an ANONYMOUS SOURCE that there is, for sale a reported SEX TAPE which shows R&B singer RHANNA and rapper J COLE getting it in.

And the insider sent in SCREEN SHOTS . .. which showed a woman with FIERY RED HAIR (that resembled Rihanna) giving BRAIN to a man resembling J Cole.

How can we be so SURE that this is Rihanna and J Cole. Well we can’t . . . but we can say that J Cole LOST HIS PHONE yesterday. And he and Rihanna were ON TOUR for a few months earlier in the year . . .

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Throne’ Reigns Atop Albums Chart for Second Week

Jay-Z and Kanye West remain kings of the charts for another week. The rap superstars’ collaborative album Watch the Throne holds the No. 1 spot again on this week’s Billboard 200.
Throne sold an additional 177,000 copies in its second week to bring its sales total to 613,000, according to Billboard. The album officially spent one full week at digital and physical retailers since its release on August 8. It opened with 436,000 copies based primarily on digital sales at iTunes.
Unlike the previous week where digital sales accounted for 74% of Throne‘s intake, digital purchases only represented 35% of sales this week.
On the Digital Songs chart, Lil Wayne’s Drake-assisted single “She Will” debuts at No. 1, marking the largest sales week for a single since LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” in July.

Jay-Z & Kanye West Facing “Watch The Throne” Sample Lawsuit?

Looks like soul singer Syl Johnson’s going to take a quick piss over all of the “The Joy” Kanye & Jay have had surrounding Watch The Throne. It seems as if the duo did not clear the use of Johnson’s “Different Strokes” before sampling the track for Watch The Throne’s bonus track. The original song’s copyright holders, Johnson and Numero Group, were shocked to see the song clearly used and credited, but not cleared. And thus, they thanked Jay & ‘Ye for providing them with “a huge pay day,” whether it comes by lawsuit or settlement.

The Numero Group has posted their version of the full backstory regarding the back-and-forth maneuvering regarding Kanye camp’s original attempts to clear the song previously for use on MBDTF, failing to do so and the song appearing on WTT. No way am I going to try and Cliff Note their whole story but it’s worth a read.
Two quick thoughts:
1. The move by Johnson and Numero may seem money-motivated but I can’t blame them one bit. They created material, they own it and they should be compensated for any use of it. Furthermore…
2. If indeed the material wasn’t cleared by The Throne’s team and was being sold beforehand, yeah, they have minimal leverage in this one. The fact that the album sold like hotcakes means Johnson just secured himself financially for a while. Inadvertently perhaps, but I’d take it too if free money fell in my lap.

[The Tens] 10 Hip Hop Collaborations Albums We Wish Would Happen

Now that Watch The Throne has brought our dreams of a super collaboration between Kanye West and Jay-Z into fruition, it has us now contemplating all of the possibilities for future collaborative efforts. After a lot of thought, TWV came up with ten hip-hop collaborations that we wish could somehow happen. Hopefully we spark up an idea for at least one of these to happen.

Andre 3000 & Cee-Lo (Produced By Organized Noize) – “Strange And Some Change”

This collaboration makes perfect sense. Both are Dungeon Family affiliated, are ATLiens, have out of this stratosphere talent and have questionable wardrobe choices. Wouldn’t it be great to hear these two rhyming alongside one another? It’s not like we haven’t heard it before. Remember “Git Up, Git Out,” “Thought Process” and “Black Ice?” Honestly, shouldn’t this have happened already?

Elzhi & Royce Da 5’9″ (Produced By J Dilla) – “Detroit”

These two Detroit representers are quite familiar with one another. ElZHi made mention that this project could possibly happen in the near future. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t. What would make it even more incredible is to have production from the late, great J Dilla. But if it were ever to come to fruition, we wouldn’t mind Black Milk anchoring the production.

Nas & Common (Produced By DJ Premier) – Stream Of Consciousness

“Ghetto Dreams” was a mere indication of what these two have the potential to do as a tandem. It would force them to not make lazy mainstream music as they would likely try to out-conscious one another. Put DJ Premier in the mix and you have one scary album that would raise your IQ 27 points after one listen.

Drake & Phonte (Produced By 9th Wonder) – Brutally Honest

Drake has always said his favorite rapper was Phonte Coleman. The two had never met when they dropped “Don’t You Got A Man” and “Think Good Thoughts.” Imagine what a full project from these two would be like with some beautiful 9th Wonder backdrops. Lots of honesty, sh*t talking, introspection and some really, really, incredible hooks.

Ice Cube & Kendrick Lamar (Produced By The Bomb Squad) – “California State Of Mind”

People have forgotten how much of a monster Ice Cube was in his heyday. Before all the TV shows and movie roles, this was the guy that dropped AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted and Death Certificate while also being the injections of both brash commentary and political consciousness for NWA. Kendrick Lamar is like a one man NWA. If we could go “Back To The Future” and send Kendrick to 1990 via Delorean, can you imagine the music these two could have made together? Cops would have been scared to beat Rodney Kings ass.

Lupe Fiasco & Black Thought (Produced By Madlib) – “Super Rappin’”

When you talk about two guys that can rap circles around just about everyone, Lupe Fiasco and Black Thought come to mind immediately. But let’s make this one interesting and throw the quirky soundscapes of Madlib into the mix and see what these two lyrical mad scientists could concoct. It would be mind numbing, rewind button punishing, “Damn, did he just say that,” hip-hop. Nobody would want to touch the mic they scarred.

Lil Wayne & Eminem (Produced By Just Blaze) – “Sober Thoughts”

It’s amazing how great these two have sounded since eliminating drugs from their respective lives. Both have been on a tear and not riffing off jibberish so we wouldn’t mind a collaborative effort with nothing but sober rhymes and dope beats. Two guys who can claim the “Best Rapper Alive” title might as well get on an album and try to out-rap the other. A batch of Just Blaze beats would most certainly cause the studio to burn down during every session.

Lauryn Hill & Jean Grae (Produced By The Roots) – “The Queen & The Sorceress”

First things first, this is meant to be the “old” Lauryn. Not that woman in clown makeup who performs every song at 273289 BPMs. The old Lauryn had no peer on the mic, much less a woman that could hold a candle to her. Jean Grae would have pushed L Boogie like no other. Two femme fatales who could rhyme about anything with a feminine point of view would completely redefine what women in rap should be. Not that body enhanced, poppy fluff that we’ve seen over the past decade or so. Real music. Damn good music.

Notorious B.I.G. & Big Pun (DJ Premier) – “Heavyweight Champions Of The World”

Words cannot say what would have happened if these two could have spent time in the booth together. It would have had to been a pretty big booth, but the greatness that would have come out of those sessions could have been of the jaw dropping variety. Mix in a little bit of Premo and hip-hop heads would have shed tears to hear this project.

Mos Def & Jay Electronica (Produced By DJ Hi-Tek) – “Nomads”

If we could find a way to make Jay Electronica sit down in one place and write rhymes while breaking Mos Def from his tendency to want to sing on every song, we might have something amazing here. Yes, they are supposed to drop that Center Edge Territory project a quarter past never, but these two with that good ol’ BlackStar DJ Hi-Tek could craft an album full of amazingness. Nothing more, nothing less.

Trey Songz Says He Could See Himself Doing A 'Watch The Throne' Type Album With Drake

After the success of 'Watch The Throne' one might think there will be more collaborative efforts between big artists. That may happen, but that's easier said than done.

Getting two or more huge egos to mesh together long enough to deliver a full album is a tall task. Singer Trey Songz has considered the possibility and thinks he could make it work with only one other artist.

"I mean, you got to look at (Kanye and Jay-Z) and see how long it took them to do it, you know? So it has to be organic in whatever way it happen," Trey told The Source. "It can’t be a business decision and you can’t look at it in a way of making it lucrative. I think it has to be something that you are definitely going into for music’s sake. It has to be something real, because if it’s not authentic you can hear it. They’ve been working together for so long and so many tracks together under their belt before this album even came that it’s been very much premeditated. When thinking along the lines of that, Drake is the first person that comes to mind that I am that musically comfortable with in that space. He is a friend of mine as well, and I think we can pull something off like that could sound very authentic."

Drake is currently working on his sophomore album 'Take Care.' Trey is busy putting the finishing touches on his fifth studio album 'Chapter 5.'
