Royce Da 59 recently stopped by Shade 45′s “Sway In The Morning” show (with special guest co-host Janell Snowden from VH1). While discussing Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne” project, they called up Joell Ortiz to ask about some comments from his Twitter account critiquing the superstar’s collaboration. Royce also discussed the next Slaughterhouse project.

Big Pun’s widow, Liza Rios spoke out yesterday on her Facebook page about the song “Big Pun’s Back” by Joell Ortiz.


Joell meant for the song to be a tribute to his idol, but Liza doesn’t see it that way. She feels the song is disrespectful to Big Pun’s legacy & to that of his son, Christopher Lee Rios aka Baby Pun. Who she believes is the rightful heir to Pun’s lyrical throne.
